One common struggle homeschool moms have are distractions. Whether these homeschool distractions come from younger kids, the phone or even the husband we have to find a way to overcome them and get school done! Here are some tips that can help!
We sit down to start our homeschool day and the phone beeps. The kids sigh because they know I can’t ignore it. We start school 30 minutes late. Again.
While finishing up our last homeschool session for the day, a knock at the door distracts us yet again. My mom stops by, just because, and the kids go wild.
The following day brings doctors appointments followed by a day with a mid morning play date. By the end of the week, we have accomplished ONE full day of school.
This was our homeschool just a few short years ago. A few discussions on Facebook leads me to believe that your homeschool looks similar. Homeschool distractions are real, and if we let them, they can make homeschooling obsolete. So, how do we overcome homeschool distractions?
